Roddy McDowall Age: 70
English-born actor who starred as a child with Elizabeth Taylor in Lassie Come Home. McDowall continued his successful film career as an adult, appearing in such classics as How Green Was My Valley, Cleopatra and Planet of the Apes, in which he played Cornelius, the ape. McDowall, who was also a respected photographer, enjoyed capturing other celebrities on film and some of his work can be seen in his book Double Exposure. Died: October 3, 1998
