Missouri assistant football coach and father of the team's starting quarterback; played two seasons for Missouri (1966-67) before spending three seasons in the NFL with San Diego and Green Bay; his son Corby helped lead Missouri to its first winning season in 14 years and a trip to the Holiday Bowl in 1997; of a heart attack
