E. G. Marshall

Character actor best known for his Emmy-winning portrayal of Lawrence Preston in television's The Defenders. He began his acting career on the stage, gaining fame with his appearance in the 1948 world premiere of The Iceman Cometh. His films include 12 Angry Men, The Caine Mutiny, and the more recent Absolute Power.

Died: Aug. 24, 1998.
