Edward Thorgerson

a pioneer sports announcer in the early days of radio; his first sports assignment was as a young reporter for NBC at the 1932 Winter Games in Lake Placid, N.Y.; went on to produce and edit the popular "March of Time" series in 1950 and work for Fox Movietone and Durmont Television before retiring in 1959; of natural causes
