the voice of Georgia Tech football and basketball from 1954-93, whose "toe meets leather" line before kickoffs became a college football trademark; after doing play-by-play for 416 football and 1,030 basketball games Ciraldo moved into the studio where he hosted pregame, halftime and postgame shows; of complications from congestive heart failure
