Reuben Bell

professional boxer who compiled a 13-2 record as a middleweight; died of gunshot wounds when a man opened fire in the lobby of Washington Hospital Center's Cancer Institute where he was being treated for colon cancer; five other people were injured in the attack; considered on the cusp of consideration for a major title bout in the ring, Bell had his problems outside of it: several arrests on weapons and drugs charges, including a murder charge he was acquitted of in February; of gun shot wounds
