Master Sergeant Gene McKinney,

the Army's former top-enlisted soldier, was acquitted of 18 counts of sexual misconduct and obstruction of justice in a court-martial brought about by six servicewomen. A demotion from the top rank of sergeant major was the punishment for his only guilty count, for attempting to coach one of the women on how to respond to millitary investigators.
