Helen Wills Moody

women's tennis great who won eight Wimbledon singles titles in the 1920s and 1930s; won 31 major titles, including seven U.S. championships and four French titles over her illustrious career; garnered an Olympic gold medal in Paris in 1924; she won her first girl's national title at the age of 17, making her the youngest champion to that point; her serious demeanor earned her the nickname "Little Miss Poker Face"; was inducted to the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 1959 and was named AP Female Athlete of the Year in 1935; cause of death not given
