Jimmy Witherspoon

singer

Witherspoon combined elements of jazz and blues to create a deep, sophisticated sound. His career was overshadowed by the emergence of rock, but he enjoyed a comeback at the 1959 Monterey Jazz Festival, where he performed with Coleman Hawkins, Earl Hines and others.
