Derek Taylor

The Beatles's publicity spokesman, writer

Taylor ran the press department of Apple Records, The Beatles's production company, from 1968 to 1970. In addition to The Beatles, Taylor promoted the Doors, the Byrds, the Beach Boys and other bands. After leaving Apple, Taylor continued to work in the music industry, becoming director of special projects for Warner Elektra Atlantic Records and a vice president of Warner Bros. Records.
