former Tulsa basketball coach credited with turning the program around shortly after arriving in 1949; won more games than any other Golden Hurricane coach (137) and guided the team to the 1955 NCAA Tournament; younger brother of longtime Oklahoma State Coach Henry Iba; a member of both the University of Tulsa Athletic Hall of Fame and the state of Missouri Basketball Hall of Fame; of an aneurysm
