Leonard began his career in Hollywood in the 1940s, appearing as sinister figures in several films, including The Thin Man, A Pocketful of Miracles and It's a Wonderful Life. A pioneer in the sitcom, Leonard helped create The Dick Van Dyke Show, The Andy Griffith Show and Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C. Born: 1907 Died: 1997
