The following table shows the median age of men and women when they were first married in the United States from 1890 to 2007. The median age for a man's first marriage was 27.7 years in 2007, up from 26.1 in 1990. The median age for a woman's first marriage was 26.0 years in 2007, up from 23.9 in 1990.
