Yosai

Yosai (Kikuchi Yosai) (kēkOO'chē yō'sī) [key], 17881878, Japanese painter, known for his depiction of historical subject matter. Although he was well trained in the Chinese and Western painting styles, he advocated a revival of the medieval style of Japanese painting.
