Roger of Hoveden

Roger of Hoveden (hov'dun, hŭv'–) [key], d. 1201; English chronicler. His chronicle, covering the years from 732 to 1201, is an original source only for the years through which he lived. His life as a member of the household of Henry II and the documents he included make his work important. It was translated by Henry T. Riley (1853).
