Hualien (Taiwan)

Hualien

Hualien or Hua-lien (hwä'lyen') [key], city (1995 pop. 108,192), E central Taiwan. One of Taiwan's most important international ports, it is a market for local agricultural products. It is located in a volcanic region and is susceptible to earthquakes.
