Cristóbal (krēstō'bäl) [key], town, Colón prov., near the Caribbean end of the Panama Canal, Panama. Cristóbal is located in the former Panama Canal Zone and was the American residential suburb of Colón; it has been under Panamanian jurisdiction since 1979.
