Encyclopedia Beyazid Beyazid, 1612 –1638? , Ottoman prince; brother of Sultan Murad IV. Considering Beyazid a dangerous rival, Murad ordered his execution. Beyazid's death is treated in Jean Racine 's tragedy, Bajazet (1672).
