Anan (än'än) [key], city (1990 pop. 59,044), Tokushima prefecture, E Shikoku, Japan, on the Kii Channel. The city was created in 1958 by the merger of Tomioka and Tachibana. An agricultural center, it also produces lime, timber, and wooden goods.
