Abel-beth-maachah

Abel-beth-maachah (ā'bul-beth-mā'uku) [key], town, ancient Palestine, the modern Tel Abil (Israel), S of Metulla. In the Bible, it was attacked by Ben-hadad and taken by Tiglath-pileser.
