Scary thought, but perhaps one of the best known entertainment personalities on the planet for his starring role in Baywatch (1989–2001). Hasselhoff now spends his acting talent talking to impossibly buff people in bathing suits, but he used to spend it talking to a car, in Knight Rider (1982–86), in which he fought crime with the help of a highly skilled and fast automobile. Hasselhoff is a popular singer outside the U.S., and is the most popular American celebrity among Germans.
