Birthplace: St. Louis, Mo.
A child model-turned-actress, she is best known for playing the possessed teenager in the horror classic The Exorcist (1973, rereleased in 2000), for which she was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Academy Award. She also appeared in Airport 1975 (1975) and Exorcist II: The Heretic (1977).
