John Mahoney actor Born: 6/20/1940 Birthplace: Manchester, England
Mahoney left his job in medical journalism in his late thirties to embark on an acting career. He won a Tony Award for his performance in The House of Blue Leaves (1986). After a number of small movie roles, Mahoney clinched two important hits in 1987: Tin Men and Moonstruck. Additional film appearances include Primal Fear (1996), TheBroken Hearts Club: A Romantic Comedy (2000) and Almost Salinas (2001). His television credits include roles in TV movies and the role of Martin Crane on the sitcom Frasier (1993– ).
