12-time All-NHL 1st team; won Norris Trophy 5 times (1987-88,1990-91,94) with Boston; '96 All-Star Game MVP; all-time leader for points and assists by a defenseman; won Stanley Cup in 2001 with Colorado Avalanche; retired after 2000-01 season ranked 8th in scoring (1,579 points) and 3rd in games played (1,612); elected to Hall of Fame in 2004.
