The Question:

Which of these is more hotter? Steam or fire?

—Naveed, December 23, 2001

Your Answer:

Well they can both vary greatly in temperature. But since steam is simply water that has reached its boiling point and changed simply into a gas, its temeperature can be as low as 100 degrees celcius, whereas fire at its coolest is about 450 degrees celcius.
