Nagykőrös

Nagykőrös (nŏˈdyəköˈrösh) [key], town (1991 est. pop. 26,947), central Hungary. It is the center of a grain and fruit-growing region and has an old Reformed church, a college, and a town hall. The poet John Arany was born in Nagykőrös.
