Mitilíni (mētēlyēˈnyē) [key] or Mytilene mĭtĭlēˈnē, city (1991 pop. 24,953), capital of Lesbos prefecture, E Greece, a port on the island of Lesbos in the Aegean Sea. Roman remains are there.
