Denain

Denain (dənăNˈ) [key], city (1990 pop. 19,685), Nord dept., N France. It has ironworks, steel mills, and glass manufacturing. At Denain in 1712, during the War of the Spanish Succession, the French under Villars defeated the Austrians under Prince Eugene.
