CaltanissettaCaltanissetta (kälˌtänēs-sĕtˈtä) [key], city (1991 pop. 61,319), capital of Caltanissetta prov., central Sicily, Italy. It is an agricultural center and an important sulfur-producing center. Of note are the Church of Santa Maria degli Angeli (14th cent.) and a 16th-century cathedral.
