Bien Hoa

Bien Hoa bēĕnˈ wä [key], city, Vietnam, c.20 mi (30 km) NE of Ho Chi Minh City. It is famous for its handmade pottery. In the city are sawmills and granite quarries. There is a commercial airport. A large U.S. air base was established there during the Vietnam War; the former air base is the site of significant Agent Orange contamination.
