Bandar-e Imam Khomeini

Bandar-e Imam Khomeini ēˈmäm khōˌmānēˈ [key], town, Khuzestan prov., SW Iran, a port at the head of the Persian Gulf. It is the southern terminus of the Trans-Iranian Railway, which runs to the Caspian Sea. The town was formerly known as Bandar-e Shahpur.
