Airdrie

Airdrie (ârˈdrē) [key], town (1991 pop. 45,320), North Lanarkshire, S central Scotland. Chemicals and electrical and electronic equipment are produced. There are facilities for electronic research. Airdrie's free library was the first established in Scotland.
