Raytown (rāˈtounˌ) [key], city (1990 pop. 30,061), Jackson co., W central Mo., a residential suburb of Kansas City; inc. 1950. It was the first stop on the Santa Fe Trail out of Independence, Mo. There is light manufacturing.
