La Habra

La Habra lə hăbˈrə [key], city (1990 pop. 51,266), Orange co., S Calif.; inc. 1925. A suburb of Los Angeles, La Habra was settled in the 1860s by Basque sheepherders. Computer equipment, metal and rubber products, plumbing fixtures, and flavoring extracts are produced, and an oil research center is nearby. The city has grown along with the surrounding Los Angeles metropolitan area.
