Grafton

Grafton. <1> Town (2020 pop. 19,664), Worcester co., S central Mass.; built on the site of a Native American village; est. by Puritans c.1654, inc. 1731. Leather products and abrasives are made there. <2> City (2020 pop. 4,170), seat of Walsh co., NE N.D.; inc. 1881. A railroad town, its Carnegie Regional Library (1897) was the state's first public library. A school for the developmentally disabled is located there and its building is on the National Registry of Historic Places.
