Bowie

Bowie (bōˈē) [key], city (1990 pop. 37,589), Prince Georges co., W central Md.; inc. 1916. It is mainly a residential community. Points of interest include the Woodward Mansion (c.1743), which serves as the city hall, and Belair Stables, a historical museum. Bowie State Univ. is in the city.
