Bashan

Bashan (bāˈshän) [key], fertile plain E of the Jordan and the Sea of Galilee from the latitude of Haifa northward to that of Tyre. According to Hebrew tradition, it was conquered by the Israelites and given to the half tribe of Manasseh.
