Leon Trotsky

Introduction

Trotsky, Leon (trŏtˈskē, Rus. lāˈən trôtˈskē) [key], 1879–1940, Russian Communist revolutionary, one of the principal leaders in the establishment of the USSR; his original name was Lev Davidovich Bronstein.
