Dionne, Narcisse Eutrope

Dionne, Narcisse Eutrope närsēsˈ ötrôpˈ dyôn [key], 1848–1917, French Canadian historian. He was a prolific writer and produced biographies in French of Samuel de Champlain, Jacques Cartier, Pierre Bédard, and other figures, numerous historical works, and the Inventaire chronologique, an invaluable bibliography of books, pamphlets, maps, and periodicals published in or about the province of Quebec (4 vol., 1905–9; supplementary volume, 1912).
