Sir Thomas BrockBrock, Sir Thomas, 1847–1922, English sculptor. One of the leading sculptors under the reign of Victoria, he enjoyed a long and successful career. He became an Academician in 1891 and was knighted in 1911. His bust of Longfellow (Westminster Abbey); his colossal Victoria Memorial, in front of Buckingham Palace; and his equestrian statue, Black Prince (Leeds), are notable examples of his work.
