Uma
consort of Siva, famous for her defeat of the army of Chanda
and Munda, two demons. She is represented as holding the head of Chanda
in one of her four hands, and trampling on Munda. The heads of the
army., strung into a necklace, adorn her body, and a girdle of the same
surrounds her waist.
