Sansjoy
[Without the peace of God ]. Brother of Sansfoy (Infidelity) and Sansloy (Without the law of God). He is a
paynim knight, who fights with St. George in the palace grounds of
Pride, and would have been slain if Duessa had not rescued him. He is
carried in the car of Night to the infernal regions, where he is healed
of his wounds by Esculapius. (Spenser. Faërie Queene, book i. 4,
5.)
