Marjoram
As a pig loves marjoram. Not at all. Lucretius tells us (vi.
974), “Amaricinum fugitat sus, ” swine shun marjoram. The
proverb is applied in somewhat this way: “How did you like
so-and-so?” Ans.: “Well, as a pig loves marjoram.”
