Brewer's: Idol Shepherd

(The), Zech, ii. 17. “Woe to the idol shepherd that leaveth his flock.” Idol shepherd means self-seeking, counterfeit, pseudo; the shepherd that sets up himself to be worshipped by his people instead of God.
