Huntingdon Sturgeon
(A). An ass's foal. Pepys, in his Diary, tells us that
during a high flood between the meadows of Huntingdon and Godmanchester
something was seen floating on the water, which the Huntingdonians
insisted was a sturgeon, but, being rescued, it proved to be a young
donkey.
