Hunter

The mighty hunter.
Nimrod is so called (Gen. x. 9). The meaning seems to be a
conqueror. Jeremiah says, “I [the Lord] will send for many hunters
[warriors], and they shall hunt [chase] them [the Jews] from every
mountain ... and out of the holes of the rocks” (xvi. 16).
Proud Nimrod first the bloody chase began
