Bedouins
[Bed-wins]. The homeless street poor are so called. Thus the
Times calls the ragged, houseless boys “the Bedouins of London” The
Bedouins are the nomadic tribes of Arabia (Arabic, bedawin, a
dweller in a desert; badw, a desert). (See Street Arabs.)
