Abyla

Ab′yla

A mountain in Africa, opposite Gibraltar. This, with Calpe in Spain, 16 m. distant, forms the pillars of Hercules.

Heaves up huge Abyla on Afric's sand,
Crowns with high Calpe Europe's salient strand.
