Gilmore Girls is one of the season's best new shows, but since it's on the WB, it's unlikely that it will find a wide audience. Too bad, since the show boasts fully developed characters and a thoughtful script. Lauren Graham plays Lorelai Gilmore, the 32-year-old single mother of a 16 year old (Alexis Bledel). They live in a picture-perfect Connecticut town populated by a diverse group of quirky characters, yet they confront real-life issues.
