Joan Rivers

Emmy Award-winning talk show host, actress and comedian who gained notoriety while working as the regular stand-in for Johnny Carson (1983–86) and honing her act in comedy clubs. She later hosted The Joan Rivers Show (1989–93), for which she won an Emmy. She also appeared in television movies, such as How To Murder a Millionaire (1990). Following the suicide of her husband, producer Edgar Rosenberg, Rivers and her daughter starred together in Tears and Laughter: The Joan and Melissa Rivers Story (1994). Her feature film credits include Serial Mom (1994). She and Melissa are regulars on the red carpet at the Oscars and Golden Globes, commenting on celebrity fashion.
